Frame ranges span our 33 bed designs — solid oak, walnut, cane, and upholstered. Mattress ranges reflect the specialty makers who build these formats; quality varies as much as it does in standard sizes.
Why oversized costs more than King
- Materials scale faster than size: an Alaskan King frame carries nearly double a King's surface, and the slat system has to support the middle of a nine-foot span without sagging — that means more solid wood, not just longer rails.
- Everything is made to order: no big-box economies of scale. Frames, mattresses, and bedding are each built when you order them.
- Freight, not parcel: a bed this size ships freight. Ours ships free; elsewhere, budget $200–$500 if it's not included.
Where it's smart to save — and not to
Save on: going one size down. A Wyoming King delivers most of the oversized experience at the lowest all-in cost (frame + mattress + bedding from roughly $5,000 total), and it fits rooms the bigger formats can't.
